Have you ever stumbled upon a stunning digital clock screensaver that you wished you could easily access and use daily? Well, I have, and that's what inspired me to create FlipClock - A minimal aesthetic clock that's inspired by the famous fliqlo clock.
💡 The Inspiration Behind FlipClock
As someone who loves desk setups, I was scrolling through various posts and stumbled upon the beautiful fliqlo clock. I was so fascinated by it that I wanted to download it and use it on my device. But then I found out that it was only available as a screensaver which was a bit of a hassle to set up. And that's when the idea struck me - why not create a web version of the clock? It would be so much easier, right? So, I started researching, and before I knew it, I had completed the protoype in just three hours!
The Launch of FlipClock
When I launched FlipClock on 25th December 2021 on product hunt, I never imagined it would receive such an amazing response. Just within a short span of time, the website received over 200,000 views and 80,000 daily users - and I'm so grateful for that.
What Makes FlipClock Stand Out?
So, what sets FlipClock apart from the rest? For starters, fliqlo was a screensaver that required a lot of time to set up and install and was only available for Mac users. But with flipclock, We aimed to solve this problem by making the clock easily accessible through the web, so that it could work on any device. And the result? A simple solution that has now become a go to app for many
🚀 The Growth
The real turning point came when a Spanish news site Microsiervos, promoted our website on 30th December 2021. The sudden surge in traffic, from 50 to 700 visitors per day, was an incredible feeling, and I was on top of the world! It marked the start of a snowball effect that has led to over 2,000 views till date.

For example, you can now easily toggle between light and dark mode, Listen to calming Lo-Fi music, and make you desk setup aesthetic using themes, flip animation and more with flipclock 2.0
